A day on the green started in January 2001. After 490 shows and more than 4 million happy patrons, the a day on the green experience of good food, fine wine and great music in magnificent locations remains unrivalled and is firmly established as one of Australia’s most popular and premier outdoor concert events.
A glittering array of international and Australian stars have performed during the past 20 years providing unforgettable musical memories. a day on the green is far more than a concert event, it is an “experience” and that is what sets it apart from other winery concerts.
Being able to bring your own food, with resident DJs spinning the tunes between bands, the chance to meet artists at the signing desk and our hugely popular merchandise range are some of the little extras that go into making a day on the green such a great day.
A Sydney newspaper coined the phrase which still remains true – it is “the Big Day Out for grown-ups”.
A day on the green runs in the summer months from October – March with around 30 concerts per season in the all major wine-growing regions around Australia, as well as shows in New Zealand.
For nearly two decades, a day on the green’s ethos of great food, wine and music in beautiful outdoor regional locations has provided unforgettable musical memories and amassed a hugely loyal following.
